Nutrition is the foundation of health and fitness. Whether you want to be healthy, look good, or excel at athletic endeavors, the food you eat will be a major determinant in reaching your goals. Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all program for nutrition; there is too much variability in how humans respond to dietary factors. I therefore take a personalized, evidence-based approach to nutrition. Whenever possible I make recommendations based on scientific studies and then I fill in the gaps based on personal observation from the many individuals I have trained over the years. The following factors are always considered whenever I develop nutrition plans:
- Eating Habits
- Food Intolerances, Likes, and Dislikes
- Health & Fitness Goals
- Age, Sex, and Body Type
- Calorie Intake
- Macronutrient Balance
- Advanced Nutrition Approaches (Nutrient Timing, Fasting, Supplements).
Whether you are just getting started with healthy eating or if you are looking to optimize body composition and performance, a variety of Nutrition services are available:
NOTE: Unless they have previously spent dedicated time working on your nutrition and know specifically what kind of plan you need (based on your goals, current calorie intake, etc.), I encourage all prospective clients to begin by purchasing the One-Time Consultation Report, which I create based on responses from a custom questionnaire. The report will cover all of the factors listed above, but it will tell you where you need to focus your attention. For example, if your eating habits need improvement, there is no point focusing on calorie counting, so purchasing such a plan from me (or anyone else) would be a waste.
If you are interested in one or more of my nutrition services, send me an email and I will be happy to discuss.
